A Brief Book Notice from Books At a Glance
by Fred G. Zaspel
We wanted to draw attention to this delightful little book – an introduction to Jesus using his own words. As you can see in the Table of Contents below, the author has categorized the teachings of Jesus on a range of subjects, allowing the reader to learn from Jesus himself what Christians believe about Jesus himself, his person and work, his demands, his prayers, and so on. Certainly a great idea – a simple, straightforward presentation. Only brief remarks are added to bring each passage into focus; the purpose of the book is to allow the reader to learn from Jesus himself.
Both the author and the publisher are new to us. The publisher’s website states their goal “to offer publications that will inspire and equip believers.” For new Christians especially this book will prove a useful resource, and older Christians will find it a helpful study also.
