“This compendium of systematic theology has all the hallmarks of Jon Nielson’s dynamic pastoral ministry: biblical fidelity, theological clarity, and a passion for the practical application of Christian doctrine. Ideal for classrooms and study groups, as well as for personal use, Knowing God’s Truth includes frequent prompts for spiritual practices that will help readers know, love, and celebrate evangelical theology.”

“As in a novel, you can’t just dip into a page of the Bible and get the gist. Through all the diverse writings, what’s the through line? This is an outstanding and accessible introduction to the plot that keeps biblical history moving from Genesis to Revelation. I highly recommend this book.”
Michael Horton, J. Gresham Machen Professor of Systematic Theology and Apologetics, Westminster Seminary California
“I’m so grateful to finally have a clear, informative, and helpful introductory resource to help God’s people faithfully interpret Scripture. In Understanding God’s Word, Jon Nielson provides six ‘tools’ that give contours to hermeneutical application for the pastor and layperson alike. This volume will undoubtedly be my go-to recommendation for anybody wanting to rightly and accurately interpret the Bible!”
