Chapter 1: Danger! Theologian At Work: What These Chapters Are Meant to Do
This book gives the perspective of a theologian, one who listens to the Holy Spirit speaking through Scripture and applies it. “Theology’s proper goal is to equip the disciples of Jesus Christ for obedience.” The book, therefore, aims (from the preface) “to show how life looks and feels when lived by faith in the sovereign God of the Bible, and to help in forming attitudes, focusing values, and making decisions amid the perplexing cross-currents of decadence in the culture and the church.” It is based on the certainty that “in life, in death, and for eternity our relationships with God is what matters most.” . . .
