The focus of Any Time, Any Place, Any Prayer points its readers to the amazing gift believers have of being able to pray any prayer at any time and in any place. In summary, this Gospel-centered book is structured to help readers understand the great truths about prayer in the Bible.
The book starts with Adam and Eve and their perfect communion with God until temptation ruined this relationship. From this point on, prayer was hindered and often confusing. God told the Israelites how to pray and then one day God sent his son Jesus. On earth, Jesus invited people to be God’s friends and taught them how to talk to God. Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead, and he sent his Spirit to help them. Now we can have friendship with God and can talk with Him all the time.
The book then encourages readers with reminders that they can talk to God about anything. It goes into details about things that kids can relate to such as asking God for comfort when they had a bad dream or asking God for help to love and obey him. Finally, the reader is reminded of the great friendship we will have with God in heaven and how we will talk to him face to face just like in the Garden of Eden. Yet even now, we can pray any time, any place, and any prayer.
All the books our family has read in the Tales That Tell the Truth series have been exceptional in their ability to draw kids into understanding the things of God in a tangible way. Teaching our kids about prayer is one of the most important things we can do for them. Along with the beautiful artwork come phrases that are understandable to kids. I was so excited to share this with my kids who are 3 and 5. Over time I pray these truths they are learning will be hidden in their hearts so that they have a deep understanding of how they are to pray just as Jesus taught while he was on earth. I am so thankful for the truths within these pages for young and old hearts alike.
